John Wiley & Sons Q2 EPS Beats, Revenues Meet Views

John Wiley & Sons reported pre-market Wednesday fiscal Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.76 per share, down two cents from a year earlier but above expectations for $0.66 per share as compiled by Capital IQ.

For Q2 ended Oct. 31, revenues fell 2% year-over-year to $425.6 million but met analysts’ expectations for $425.7 million.

The publishing company also reaffirmed its FY17 guidance for flat revenue and mid single-digit decline in adjusted EPS, excluding a foreign-exchange impact, a shift to time-based journal subcriptions and acquisitions.
